junior year is atleast 789 times better than last year, maybe even 813 times, i'm not sure lol.
anyway computer illustration is pretty easy so far seeing as it was kinda formerly my major at stetson (digital art). needless to say i've charged ahead much to the delight of my teacher. the first assignment was a basic 'Welcome to Illustrator' tracing of clip art, but there is much to be learned. I'm self-taught so there were many shortcuts i didn't know before. Here is a silly version i made b/c i was bored. It's a la Eddie Izzard...

This is just the line work. we'll be vectoring it next, which is usually very cheesy but i have plans....
also, my illustration teacher is amazing because he loves cartoons. Our first project is a "what i did this summer" and i heart mine like whoa. i'll be doing it by hand with ink and selected highlights of green watercolour a la starbucks, but this is what it looks like right now:
