The book started off strong and eventually took a downturn, since the writing is still in need of major editing. In the end, I learned to bite the bullet, do what I could and finish, even if it's not as succesful as I would like. I still enjoy the characterizations of Mickey and the sloth and the other animals, but the villain and much of the rest needs time, and a better text. The story is too long and complicated for children. That being said, as Val's first attempt, the idea still has much promise.
